The U.S. transport industry is void of a national logistics system for organ and tissue movement. This absence leads to time delays and loss of viability for life-saving transplants. It’s amazing to look at advancements with online ordering and capabilities for tracking your amazon or pizza deliveries, but not have those same tools available to track organ movement and health status.
VyrtX addresses that issue by offering the medical community an end-to-end, AI-driven logistics platform built for urgent medical transport. Optimization of time and environment, as well as safety, is top priority with the VyrtX solution. The primary goal is to decrease the delivery and coordination windows significantly, and streamline communication. This will remove hours and headaches found within manually sourced transport coordination and shift the medical community from reactionary, to proactive and efficient.
Additional features provide the procurement and transplant teams tools to improve awareness, ultimately increasing the number of organ transplants within a region’s transplant community.
Specifically designed to improve responsiveness and reduce some of the complications with organ procurement and transport, VyrtX Artificial Intelligence performs continuous grid analysis on all factors of the procurement and transport process to ensure optimization of the transport time window necessary to keep vital organs at the highest possible viability.
VyrtX can rapidly assess transport requirements, and provide Transplant Centers, OPO’S, 3rd Party Medical Organizations, Tissue Banks, and UNOS with multiple, available options for end to end transport. Medical professionals can immediately request transport from a web or mobile device, to initiate the process. Customer can then view specific transport means, routing options, estimated times for arrival and organ cold ischemic time, as well as associated risks and costs prior to procuring transport.
VyrtX is offering the medical community a system to support end to end transport needs, and offset many of the hours involved with manual coordination and communication. Once a “mission-specific” route is selected for dispatch, all medical parties involved can view and track mission updates via a mobile or web platform, as well communicate updates, images and/or alters through a HIPAA compliant platform.
The VyrtX system brings together donor hospital staff, transplant surgeons, procurement teams & tissue facilities all on one platform, allowing for awareness and optimization with all transport missions. Minutes Matter with life-critical cargo, and significantly reducing the time of transport and well as other key factors, is how we get there.
The VyrtX mobile app provides users a simple and intuitive means to perform all the same functions as the browser system to include order entry, secure payment, mission tracking, and collaboration through the apps chat features. The app can be configured to receive automated updates and notifications as organs reach hand-off points, as well as integrate the devices locations into the mission tracking data. VyrtX app is supported on both Android and iOS.

In addition to advancing organ transport through improved logistics cooridnation, VyrtX is further bringing innovation to the transport community through collaboration with UAV vendors as a means to minimize delivery delays associated with the “last mile” ground transportation.
VyrtX has partners with drone supplier, and next-generation electric hybrid helicopter manufacturers such as the Moog SureFly eVTOL to provide customers options to further reduce transport times and increase organ viability by eliminating the potential delays in short range ground transport.
